The Battling Princes

Once upon a time there was a good king who had two sons Prince Charles and Prince Abdul.. The king, their father loved to eat. In fact he loved to eat so much that one day he ate something that didn’t agree with him. He became very sick. Princes Charles and Abdul rushed to their father’s bedside.

The doctors told the two princes that their father was very ill, that they could do nothing for him. The two princes were very upset and they began to cry. As they were crying the dying king whispered that he wanted Abdul to be crowned the king of the kingdom.

When the old king died, Prince Abdul was very sad, but his brother Prince Charles flew into a terrible rage. He shouted ‘I should be king! I should be king!’ Prince Charles became so angry that he tried to fight his brother. Prince Abdul told his brother to leave the kingdom, never return.

Prince Charles left his brother’s castle. He travelled for many miles in search of a magician, who would give him a magic spell to help him become king.

Now it’s your turn to tell the story. What kind of spell will the magician give Prince Charles? Will the evil prince ever become king?
