Special Projects:What about My Stuff!Dad wants help with dinner, Mum keeps nagging about your grades, big sisters on the PC checking emails and your little brother has just trashed your maths homework!! And with SATs, GCSEs and everything else how are you supposed to cope? Wizard Stories, in association with Enfield Education Business Partnership has developed a workshop to help with the stresses and strains associated with Years 9+. This interactive workshop examines our own responsibilities, going to school, homework, looking after siblings, home chores etc. The session will aim to identify the skills that will enable the young people to balance their home, school and social commitments. The session will also aim to unlock emotions associated with these pressures, dispel popular myths regarding academic achievement and the workplace, and help to reveal a clear individual journey. Suitable for: Year 9 and above. Duration: Approximately 2 hours. An interesting way to get the pupils thinking about social issues. Very engaging and they clearly enjoyed it! Owen Thomas - Cumberland High School London Borough of Newham. |
