The Red Telephone

Leonard looked at all the wonderful things inside Number Ten, ‘Gosh’ he bellowed, ‘We don’t get all of this stuff down on the farm…I think I feel a song coming on!’

‘NO!’ squawked Glenda, remembering Leonard standing on Mr Warner’s fence trying to sing some old song from way back when, and it was a memory she’d rather forget.

‘How is every one at the farm?’ Glenda asked.

‘Well they are all missing you. The farmer’s wife left. She said life on a farm wasn’t for her, so she moved here to London.’ Glenda shivered and thought, I have had enough of running the country and the Prime Minister will be back tomorrow.
